Flags are flying as the town readies for the 74th annual Portuguese Festival. Though there won’t be a parade, celebrations begin on Thursday and the Blessing of the Fleet is set for Sunday.

A seasonal staple since 1944, the Old Colony Tap at 323 Commercial St. reopened on Saturday after being closed for all of 2020. The cash-only dive bar, decorated by fishermen, hasn’t changed since the Enos family purchased it in 1954.
