Anne Steele’s amazing song, “Love Can Take Us There,” has been chosen by the Carnival committee as the theme for this year’s celebration. The song is an uplifting and exciting dance song that reflects the beauty and energy of life and happiness. The song is available on iTunes TODAY, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the One Orlando Fund.

“I was devastated by the tragedy at the Pulse nightclub and I knew I had to do something to help the victims and their families.  So, what could I do?  Well, i have a lot of friends in the music business and I knew the best way that I could give back was to write and record a song.  I reached out to 2 OUT and accomplished songwriters from Nashville,  Shane Stevens and Stephony Smith, and we immediately got to work.  We have since written and recorded a song called “Love Can Take Us There”.  I thought it was very important to have it be an uplifting dance song for many reasons.  One, because I think its important to focus on the love and the outpouring of support that has followed this tragedy.  The coming together of the community has been a beautiful thing to watch.  Two, because so often in the gay community we feel like outsiders yet we can go to a club or bar and feel safe and surrounded by acceptance.  Those victims were dancing and celebrating when they were taken from us and I think its important to keep that spirit alive on the dance floor.  The song will be a loving reminder that love can help heal us all. “ – Anne Steele

You can hear Anne perform the song LIVE during the Carnival So80’s Dance Party. She will open the show and get the party started. Get your tickets at:

Recording Tips

Don’t hold your phone like a cell phone. Hold it in landscape mode, (horizontally, not vertically). Keep it steady by using both hands. Tuck in your elbows close to your body, and if panning, keep your feet firmly on the ground and move your body. Move the camera slowly. Get as close as possible to your subject to avoid shakiness. Also, be aware that there are apps on your phone which can be used for editing either on your phone itself, or it can be uploaded to a PC. Sometimes, smartphone audio can sound like you are in a wind tunnel. For better audio, use an external microphone.

“The Gem of Provincetown”

We want to thank our guests for so many great reviews over the past month. Here are just a few of the kind words you expressed about your stay with us!

“The Gem of Provincetown”

Our second stay at the Cape Colony Inn with our small dog. Fantastic staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, great amenities, breakfast, in room coffee, and quiet. Stayed in a second floor king room. So close to Provincetown that we walked everywhere. A five minute drive to the dunes, walk to the beach. We’ll return!!

– David G.

“Great experience”

We were very happy with our stay at Cape Colony. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Our room was clean and location is a short 5 min. walk to downtown. Breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this Inn and would definitely stay here again.

-Jim B.

“Clean, great location, nice staff, just perfect!”

Great spot if you are looking for something affordable. My friends and I were in for the weekend for a race and we booked the Queen Suites. They have parking, great fire pit and easy walk to the beach or the main drag of streets. Just perfect! Thank you Cape Colony for the great memories!

– Anna B.

“One of the BEST places in P-town”

Always accommodating to your needs, clean, friendly, great continental breakfast, comfortable rooms and beds. Great ac & heat, best feature is CLEAN. Ample setups in room for coffee, frig, wifi. Beds are very comfortable.

– Marty

“Cape Cod Traditional”

This was my wife’s and I travel up the East Coast to visit the original thirteen colonies.
Cape Cod was on the list because my wife’s ancestors lived on the Cape and descendents are still there. We chose Providencetown as our destination and were not disappointed. The town is quaint with a flavor of Key West. My wife chose the Cape Colony Inn after calling the motel directly. She found the staff friendly and informative. The motel is what you imagined a Cape Cod lodge to be. The stucture was wood which continued into the interior. The interior was painted in cool beach colors. The room had a separate sleeping area and bathing area which we found very convenient. The continenal breakfast was excellent! Fresh baked muffins from the town’s bakery were of gourmet quality. We can highly recommend the Cape Colony Inn.

Green Features: They’re dog friendly and have a nice grassy area for your pets. Our two dogs loved it there.

Thank You For An Amazing Year
