Provincetown Carnival 2026

Provincetown Carnival brought another unforgettable burst of color, creativity, and celebration to the Outer Cape this August. The 48th annual Carnival took place August 15–22, with this year’s “Deep Sea Disco” theme inspiring everything from glittering sea creatures and mermaids to retro disco looks and wildly imaginative costumes. The highlight was the legendary Carnival Parade on August 20, when Commercial Street filled with elaborate floats, performers, music, and tens of thousands of spectators. More than just a party, Carnival remains one of Provincetown’s most beloved traditions—a weeklong celebration of LGBTQ+ community, self-expression, and the wonderfully anything-goes spirit that makes Ptown unlike anywhere else.
